Overview
The City of Canandaigua operates under the Council-Manager form of government. The legislative body is the City Council, composed of a mayor and eight council members, who are elected by the people in staggered four year terms. The City is represented on the Ontario County Board of Supervisors by two supervisors, each one representing approximately half of the City.
