Home Repair / Improvement Grant Programs

Homeownership & Home Preservation Program - Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity (Habitat) and the City has partnered over the last several years to assist homeowners with exterior home repairs and improvements so that they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come. Eligible repairs include porches, steps and railings, painting, safety and code violations, trimming shrubs and landscapes and other repairs as approved. The program requires that the home is owner occupied and within the City of Canandaigua. Homeowners must be willing to contribute sweat equity hours in accordance with their ability and the size of the project. Habitat's construction team provides project management and volunteers to complete the repairs.
